“I stand here waiting for my future… I am man and I am woman. The thoughts run wild in my head. What will
tomorrow bring? What do I leave behind?
Yes my future is unsure but filled with hope and dreams. I stare out to the sea knowing I will cross many of
them…they represent all the next steps of my life. The sea is turbulent as I know the future may be but hope
envelopes me to calm the seas.
The darkness has fallen around me…it is my fear of what I leave behind. My family so dear to me, my heart already
aches for their loss…yet I know they will be with me soon.
I will work hard I will achieve. Like the rocks in the sea I will start small but I will make it. I will be strong and sturdy I
will not falter. Like where I am from…the sands of time will never dissipate. They will always meet the sea…the
waters that feed our life.
I will never lose my past but add to my future.
I am man, I am woman and I have arrived.”
“In life we have so many different kinds of love. The love of our family, the place we got our start. The love of our
children that binds us for the future, how they are lets us know how we have done. The love of friends, friends may
come and go but we form a love relationship with the ones that are true and love us no matter what happens to us.
Than we have the love of mate…it can bend or it can break but somehow a small spark of love will always remain
because we gave away a small part of our heart. If we are lucky we will have the love of mate that connects to our
soul…Than we say that we are in LOVE.
But first and foremost we have to have the love of self. Not that narcissistic love but the happiness we struggle to find
within ourselves…When we have that we can have all of the above.”
“We travel many roads in life to find the one that is true. When luck strikes we are blessed to find the one that fulfills
our life. That road runs straight and true with only small out branches that are the unexpected changes in our lives but
these small detours correct themselves and we come back to our true path.
This road runs straight and true but it isn’t our life’s road it is the road that we must get on once and awhile to find our
inner peace. It takes us anywhere we want…to the mountains, the beach, to countries that are unknown…it takes us
anywhere we want to dream.
I know how busy your life is right now especially with the added burden that you have taken with your parents. I must
tell you that I have learned that you are some special man…like the one you are named after.
Get on this road when you are stressed, dream of the possibilities of where it can take you…if only in your thoughts
you can escape for a little while. Maybe it can give you some peace.”
“A place of beauty…the place where you began. The life blood of your soul and what formed the man you are today.
From the stories you have told me this train station is a place you played as a child a place where you laughed as you played
and you could just be a kid.
When you look at this painting let it take you back to that place where there was joy and although there were many
trials you still got to laugh and dream.
So run away when you can and be that kid again if only for a minute you can close your eyes, play a game of soccer,
laugh and when you open your eyes you will have a smile on your face.”
