Philosophy

My goal is to create a painting with accompanying prose for my client that captures a personal moment in time, or a special feeling, a place of contentment, a visual that allows the client to escape their hectic life for a moment, or simply just brings a knowing smile to their inner self.

My clients do not view their painting as just a pretty picture. They view their exclusive painting as a piece of their heart, mind, and soul. The written story reveals in beautiful prose the underlying relationship of the painting with my patron creating a priceless bond.

I am able to create this special bond by spending time with my patron, asking about their life experiences, what is important to them, inquiring if they have a memento that would give me a better insight; and most importantly, I know how to listen! Moreover, I have a high level of empathy (so I have been told) that allows me to find the right emotional fit for my painting and its story with my patron.

My commissioned art is $1,500.00 and up depending on color or black and white, complexity, size, etc. (no people or animals). Once the commission fee is determined, a 20% non-refundable deposit is required as an expression of sincerity with the following proviso.

When the painting has been completed, the client comes to my studio and privately communes with their painting, and then opens the accompanying envelope, and reads their story (refreshments provided). The full non-refundable remaining commission is then due. In the unlikely event the client is not pleased, they are not obligated to pay the remaining commission, and of course, the painting and letter will stay with me. Please enjoy this small portfolio.
